About
Bio/Description
My research is centered around efficient and extensible quantum processor calibration and control. I received my PhD in 2021 from the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at MIT and an MS and BS from the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering at ETH Zurich. While at MIT, I worked on logical qubits using solid-state quantum emitters as well as readout and control of multiple superconducting qubits. Exposed to real-world quantum systems, I experienced the challenge of calibration and control firsthand. Today’s calibration routines will likely not suffice to enable quantum processors to scale much further in size and demonstrate practical quantum algorithms. I am devoting my postdoctoral research, co-advised by Herschel Rabitz and Hakan Türeci, to devising efficient and extensible quantum processor calibration and control protocols. The time not spent on research is dedicated to my wife and raising our son together.
